Darling What If You Fly – Branding
If you are new to my site then welcome. But if you have been here before hopefully you will notice something different about it. I changed the “branding” of my website.
I never gave too much thought to branding when it came to setting up a blog, believing that branding was strictly for businesses with lots of dollars to set aside for advertising. Why would I want to advertise? But after getting advice from a very successful entrepreneur, Alexander Jimenez, from the Travel Fashion Girl and The Six Figure Blogger, I now know the importance of branding. It’s this unique place that will build recognition and foster a signature calling card visitors will recognize, like, and return to.
After the advice from Alex and also some well-structured criticism and advice from Julia at Board Thirteen I decided to take their advice and take another look at my blog and how I could refine it.
Most importantly, my name. Many people would think that I was selling a service. I’m not unless you can call my opinions on life, my travel stories and other content a service. But no. So I thought about it and came up with this name…darling what if you fly.
Where exactly did that come from you ask? I have this tattooed on my left arm to always remind me that one must take chances in life, and don’t worry about failing, who knows you might not fail but succeed beyond your wildest imagination. At least that’s how I like to look at things.
I am not a WordPress guru by any means (not yet anyway). I contacted Nicole Merced, an amazingly talented website builder, and she helped me redesign my site and voila, here I am, darlingwhatifyoufly. It’s still the same content—stories and opinions on life after 60, my travels and life’s inspirations and lots of my own photography.
So I hope you like what you see and continue to follow me. And if you are new then I hope you join me in my adventures beyond 60.
